Tourism Policies: an analysis of "Estrada Real" Programme

This article presents an analysis of “Estrada Real” Programme in São João Del Rei, based on a research which objective is to raise the perception of the involved ones in the process of tourist development in the city and to relate them with the proposals of this program, adopted as one of development politics of the government of the State of Minas Gerais. Some considerations on the planning in Brazil, the politics of tourism and the historical antecedents of the Real Road are made. It presents the main results of the research on “Estrada Real” Programme, analyzing the politics of tourism and the perception of entrepreneurs, local community and visiting. The data indicate a necessity of better preparation of the city to receive its visitors.Downloads
