The present research aims to analyze the state of the art on the topic of veganism related to the tourist phenomenon. This will be achieved through a systematic review of the literature, in order to identify possible gaps and critically reflect on the consolidated knowledge so far. For this review, the multimethod approach was used, which is justified by the performance of a bibliometric study added to the qualitative interpretation of the selected scientific articles. For this survey, the terms "tourism", "veganism” and "vegan" were searched in Portuguese, English and Spanish in the databases of Publicações de Turismo, Scopus, Web of Science and Portal de Periódicos Capes, in order to cover the national and international contexts. Among the main results, the following can be highlighted: the novelty and growth trend of publications that address tourism-related veganism; the majority use of European journals for the publication of articles; the predominance of Asian authors and co-authors; the majority presence of researchers in the field of tourism or hospitality; and the prevalence of articles that used qualitative methodologies. In addition, it was possible to classify the articles analyzed into 4 categories according to their themes, namely: (1) gastronomy; (2) sustainability; (3) experiences; and (4) hospitality.
